All around gorgeous, thematic, and competitive fun
Can’t say enough good things about this game. The board and components are visually compelling, and both game phases are strategically involved - to score enough points to win you’ll need to juggle when to build connections, when to build your industries, when to sell, when to take loans while your money onhand (especially during canal phase) seems to always be too low and not enough income. But I found this kind of challenge to be intriguing and very fun.It seems daunting when you open the box and there are so many component pieces. There are a lot of rules, and we did have to refer back to the rulebook during play, but overall the gist of what you need to do isn’t as complicated as it first seems. I highly recommend watching a tutorial or play-through video before diving in, as the rulebook on its own (though beautiful) can be a lot to take in on its own for those new to euro gaming.Brass Lancashire is semi complex - it’s not to far of a step above gateway games in difficulty to learn or play, and I highly recommend to anyone looking to expand their board gaming experiences. You won’t be disappointed.

Great strategy game!
Great game. I like games that involve strategy and are resource based but also have multiple ways to score points and win. This one checks all those boxes. It also involves “order of play” thinking that I also value in a game.

A great economy game.
I'm not the biggest fan of economy focused board games, but this is my favorite. Reacting to others, anticipating demand, along with developing your own industries all play a huge role in this game and you get it all in package that typically plays in two hours or less. It's hard to find a game that feels meaty while not getting bogged down in tedious gameplay. One of my all time favorite games.

Great game!
One of my favorite board games. For quite a while I couldn't decide between Lancashire and Birmingham: both have advantages depending on the size of the group and the people you're playing with. I finally went with Lancashire.

A fun short game
A most interesting game of the industrial revolution. It seems too simple, but is addictive. I think what won me over is how the game handles money and VPs. Most games have one or the other. Here you have a pursuit of wealth, but still a focus on VPs also. I'd recommend it to hardcore and casual gamers alike.

Nice economic strategy game
Nice balance, mechanism and quality. Little heavy regarding learning curve. Best for 3-4 people.

Even for an experience board game player, this was too much
The instructions are very confusing, me and a few buddies spent 4 -5 hours trying to learn this game. Even after watching a video tutorial we could still not understand. The company wouldn’t refund me my money because I popped the pieces out of the cardboard. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone unless you somehow already know how to play the game.
