Just been delivered and wow just opened package that have a very strong smell let's hope they work for my pesky little critters

I would rate this product with less than one star as it appears to be next to useless. Having purchased a total of 3 packs (15 balls) over the past three months, duly dispersed throughout our lofts (on the same level with one loft on each side of the house), they clearly do not work as there has been no change whatsoever to the rat population which occupies our loft - other than by numbers reduced by their being killed by use of rat traps. Indeed in the past week mice have now appeared for the first time for over 7 years. For information, over three years ago, with a rat problem I infused liberal amounts of Amazon purchased lemon oil in cotton wool balls and this cleared them. This material now appears unavailable. Very strong smell but hasn’t stopped the rodent issue

We were having issues with mice coming in, and so bought these balls in the hopes that they might be of some help. I can confirm that they are very effective. We had 3 areas where the mice were coming in, and so we put one of the balls in each area. And just like that, no mice. Another mouse did appear around 10-12 weeks (approx) after we put the balls down. But we replaced them, and have seen no mice again since. Great value for money, even though they need replaced now and then.The one drawback of these is the smell. They are extremely overpowering. I can handle it, because they balls are shut away (under kickboard, and at the back of the cupboard). But we do get a very strong waft of it when opening the cupboard. However, this is worth it for us, to keep us mouse free.
