Sturdy and smooth
I was hesitant to order because I assumed, as the entry level Shop Fox fence, it looked flimsy in the picture. But this is very solid and slides smoothly with one hand and stays square to the blade. I have a 40 year old Craftsman saw and I had been considering upgrading my fence, but it finally broke so I had no choice. I had to drill a few holes to get it lined up right but the included drill and tap worked fine for me. Installation wasn't terribly difficult and it's really a great upgraded to this saw. Very Happy with it.

Very good cuts
Paid $60 for my old Delta Saw and it had round rails for the fence. I was annoyed but when looking at the price of other fences I didn't know if i should just buy a new saw. I found this and figured it was worth a shot. Install problems were my fault. Front rail is below miter slots, back rail is below table. Made sense after i installed and the fence didn't line up, and my sled wouldn't go back far enough. My fence rides hard on my back rail and removed some of the finish, WD 40 and playing with it helped. If I slide too quickly the front right wheel comes off the track. It didn't come square but was easy to fix. Bottom line is even with the install problems, and having to mess with it to slide smooth, it cuts very straight, and I would recommend it all day.

Great fence, harrowing installation
For starters, I have an old grizzly g1022 I bought a month ago with the stock fence. Saw is about 30 years old if I had to guess.. Stock fence was really bad, so I bought this fence.Everything showed up in the box. I didn't have any missing pieces. Down side is one of the rails was packaged against the top of the square-up on the fence and it must have smacked the fence at some point and damaged the finish. I'm not planning on keeping the fence in immaculate unused condition, but fence should probably show up without any pre-existing dings. The mounting holes line up on the front rail well. I learned that the hard way after tapping the front of my table the way the instructions tell you to, then realizing the fence sat about 3/8 too high. After cursing my stupidity and misfortune of wasted effort, I realized there was enough slack on the front rail slot to get me the fence to table clearance I wanted when I used the table saw's stock fence holes. Fun fact: instructions say the front and rear rails should be 1/16" below the table top, but the front track rollers and rear track rollers are not to the same elevation, hence the frustration and tapping the front of my saw table.Back rail actually did tapping. The 5/16" drill bit that comes with the fence works well enough, but your own bit would do better. I happened to have a dewalt bit in the right size, so it worked well. The actual tap is fine. With drilling and tapping I just took my time, checked to make sure my drill was square to the table face, and it went fine. After installing the rails to my satisfaction, the actual fence went on ok. It needed some adjustment to get it to hug the rails well when clamped down, and to square up the fence to the table, but those adjustments are easy.Other downside: the rail finish is not great. Where fence rollers contact the fence, it immediately marred the fence rail finish and flaked. Again, I don't really care because I'm going to use this fence and it will get marked up and scuffy, but maybe not from out of the box test run use.All in all, the fence is awesome and you should buy it. I learned a lot using it and would recommend it for those of you with older grizzly saws. Once it's in and adjusted, the fence is awesome, and a huge upgrade over any older stock fence.

Very Happy!
I was looking for a good fence for my older Craftsman table saw and the prices for good fences are very high (at least for me). So when I saw this on Amazon and based on the low price I bought one. It arrived quickly and installation was pretty easy. It was easy to adjust and so happy I bought this. I'm a little disappointed this item is listed as discontinued on the Woodstock International web site so future support if needed might be a problem. Lastly the owners manual is not easy to follow so I had to go through it several times to understand some of the steps for installation and adjustments.

Missing Parts/Lacking Assembly
I purchased this back in January to replace the pitiful fence on my old Craftsman Table Saw. I didn't get around to installing it until today. Got my rails mounted - all good. Then following the instructions, I put the fence on the rails - all good. Then I attempted to test lock the fence into position and it did not lock. Looking back at the instructions, I see that the "lock handle actuates and hold the clamping jaws when in the engaged position and releases the jaws in the up position. This handle is already adjusted for use out of the box."Further investigation (see pictures) revealed that neither the front or rear "locking jaws" were installed on the fence. I then searched through the installation hardware that came with the Shop Fox W1410 Fence and found (1) locking jaw.....not (2) locking jaws. I spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out how to install the one jaw, but no luck. This has rendered the fence unusable. Can I somehow get some help with this from the seller?I think the fence will be good and I don't want to return it, I just need a functional fence with all of the working parts installed.

Excellent upgrade!
I had and old Craftsmen 3hp table saw. The saw worked well but the stock fence was garbage.Just like someone had mention in a past review, I would align the stock fence with a slight tap. Once you clamped it down, it would move (very frustrating). Replacement fence upgrades were very expensive at that time. I believe there was a lost in translation from Taiwan to American install instructions. If you have any mechanical sense you can overcome this issue. I would test mount the new fence using C-clamps. This will take time but well worth the effort. I LOVE THIS NEW UPGRADE! Unit is well made.
