Needs to be conditioned before use
Like all cast iron pans you need to condition and seal the surface before use. very heavy and well made. this is the smallest pan I have found to work with my induction hob. It has a bottom surface contact with the top of the hob surface of 12cm, the minimum my hob will work with.

Branding isfue
Don’t know if it’s a Samuel groves pan as no branding on it. Will probably just stick it in the camping hamper😐

Not sure what's gone wrong
I bought this with another 12" pan and for some unknown reason the seasoning hasn't taken to this pan anywhere near as well. I lot of it flaked off and I can't work out why .........had to start all over again.....will update this review when I have

Great.
These little cast iron pans are great. I bought two of these especially to make Yorkshire puddings and they are perfect for that. Just the right size for a good single Yorkshire. I seasoned them before using. Just make sure to wash cast iron in hot water only, no detergent, before re-heating the pan and giving a light wipe with cooking oil to stop any rust forming.
