These are very funny missives from Sir 'Chatty' Chatterton. Although I'm reliably informed they are satire, it is hard to tell at times, so acute are the observations and so plausible the scenarios. I feel I have known 'Chatty' as a public figure all my life and I'm reminded this is fiction only by the fact that in real life our government patently lacks such an eloquent and independently-minded political colossus.Reader beware, these musings are hard to put down if your intention is simply to dip into the book.
