Home Sweet Christmas: A Festive Christmas Romance of Love, Friendship, and Unexpected Surprises in a Charming Small Town (Wishing Tree)

Sweet Romance with Christmas Heart
I loved this book! Mallery weaves two romances, as best friends Dylan and Jake fall for friends Camryn and River. And of course, everyone has old hurts and trust issues (trust is a really big one in this book) to overcome but they learn that they have to do it together. They have to let go of the past and have a little faith in the now and the future. As is common for Mallery, this book shares the healing power of love and family and friends. (Though in all fairness, I do have to say that I was not a fan of Helen; I get that she did what she did out of love but I felt like she crossed the line more than once and I was a little disappointed that no one really called her on it.) But still, I love Wishing Tree and the people in it, and I can't wait to go back and see them again.

Avoiding an arranged marriage by your meddling mother
I didnโt know this was book #2 in the series or I wouldโve made sure to read book #1 first. Camryn is raising her twin teenage sisters after their mom passed away. She uprooted her life in Chicago to come to Wishing Tree her small hometown. They are teenagers and she wanted them to be able to stay at their school with their friends. Sheโs also running her family business. But she plans to move back to Chicago once they graduate. She shows up to a meeting thinking itโs a potential client only to find out the lady is interviewing her as a potential wife for her son Jake. Jake was a senior when Camryn was a freshman so she knows him, plus, small town, but sheโs outraged. She goes to tell Jake about the situation and Jake is furious with his mom but intrigued by Camryn. I read this book in one day because I couldnโt put it down. Youโll have to read it for yourself to find out what happens. Now that I know thereโs a book #1 in the series, I will definitely go back and read it. I love all of Susan Malleryโs books.

Cute Hallmark-Style Rom-Com
I loved โHome Sweet Christmas.โ It was a classic Hallmark-style novel following the progression of two different relationships. Susan Mallery really knows how to write a meet-cute and show how every relationship takes a winding road. There were a couple of plot twists that were a little odd, and the ending kind of felt rushed given the amount of time spent on said plot twists, but overall, it was a really cute holiday rom-com.

Perfect read for the holidays
Susan Mallery delivers another heartwarming romance set in the enchanting town of Wishing Tree. When Camryn Neffโs mother died, she moved to Wishing Tree, leaving her life in Chicago behindโฆfor the time being. She is now the guardian of her teenage twin sisters.River Best was charmed by the quaint little town when she first visited her sister there. So charmed, she decided to stay.Camryn and River fall in love with the all-too-perfect men. (Hey, a girl can dream!) Jake Crane catches Camrynโs eye, and she canโt resist. But Camryn plans to move back to Chicago when the twins go to college. She canโt fall in love with someone in Wishing Tree. They begin a romance with an expiration date. For River, keeping secrets is a deal breaker, and her new love Dylan Tucker has a big secret. Of course, their romances canโt come to fruition without some angst thrown in. For all four lovers, this is a story of loss and healing.I really liked Jakeโs mother. She does meddle in her sonโs life, but sometimes it is needed. I had a few chuckles over her antics. And I fell in love with the little dog so adorably named Tinsel.A small town with warm and friendly residents filled with the Christmas spiritโฆwell, donโt you think you need to visit Wishing Tree?Susan Mallery writes beautiful family-themed stories with happily-ever-after endings. Just what is needed for the holidays! You will enjoy this book if you enjoy novels with close-knit families, some romance, and humor.

This is one of those clean cozies you will wish would never end!!
Camryn Neff really wants to go back to Chicago. But she had to come back to Wishing Tree to care for her sisters and keep the family business going. She is waiting until they graduate high school--3 long years. Then she meets the perfect man-----will it change her plans?Meanwhile-River Best is a really shy introvert. She is new in town and has made friends. When they get togeter and get her the votes to become Snow Queen-she is petrified. Luckily the Snow King is a doll and walks her through it all--But he has a secret--will he finally tell her what it is--or will their budding interest in each other be shattered? This is one of those clean cozies you will wish would never end!!

Nice story, but when will Paisley get her HEA?
Overall a nice book, but I was hoping that Paisley's story would be next. In The Christmas Wedding Guest, Paisley was mentioned a lot more than Camryn and River is a totally new character. Hopefully, there will be another book in the Wishing Tree series and Paisley's story can finally be told.

This is a fun, happy read!
I just finished reading Home Sweet Christmas by Susan Mallery. I absolutely loved this book (I knew I would, as I love all of hers). Her characters are fun and I can picture everyone and everything so clearly by her descriptions. Iโm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Christmas romance 2 for 1
In the town of Wishing Tree, there are two romances brewing just before Christmas! Best friends Jake and Dylan fall for friends Camryn and River - thanks to the manipulations of Jakeโs mom. Sometimes mothers do know best about who is perfect for their children, but holding interviews and having background checks run is a little over the top ! As they avoid her plotting and interference, Jake and Dylan manage to find the perfect girls. Naturally, in the tried and true plot line of boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back, the reader can predict how this will end! Even so, it is a great feel good romance to read during the holidays.

When you know the right person
What a wonderful Christmas love story this turned out to be. Camryn and Jake were just made for each other but it took a while before they realised their feelings for each other. River and Dylan were thrown together as the Snow Queen and Snow King. Little by little they managed to overcome their trust issues and declare their feelings for each other.

It was my second fictional visit to the town of Wishing Tree, and I couldnโt complain. The only reason Iโve marked it down to a 4 was because there were a couple of plot flaws towards the end. Specifically it was noted someone was missing at the Christmas concert, but then the next day in a conversation that same person said they were there. Just enough of a flaw to make you go โhuh?!โI was hoping to have this read and reviewed by December so I could recommend you all a brilliant Christmassy read, but life got in the way. So, here we are in January and I have your very first Christmas book recommendation for 11 months down the line! Its a really sweet Christmas romance book that follows two pairs of singles, and will make you feel all the feels! It was funny, emotional and brilliant in every way possible. Highly recommend for a lighthearted Christmas romance!
