Glutose 45 Oral Glucose Gel - Lemon Flavor - 1 ct.

I bought this for my ferrets because they occasionally have a blood sugar crash and this has been great to have handy. Just a pea sized amount and they feel better in a few minutes. Much easier to carry around with me than a jar of honey too. They like the taste so that's always a plus.

Most emergency glucose tubes are 15 grams. This one is 45. Most of the time when I get hypoglycemic, one tube isn't enough. The only reason that I didn't give this 5 stars is because you have to judge how much glucose you've taken by using the markings on the side of the tube. It would be better if it stopped after every 15 grams so you could judge more accurately how much you've taken. As you may know, when you are hypoglycemic your brain function isn't all that logical. I also like this product because it's reasonably priced compared to the others. It also has a nice lemon flavor. Other brands have a "tropical fruit" flavor that is downright nauseating. Also, if you wear glasses the markings on the side of the tube may be difficult to read. All in all, however, this is a good product, reasonably priced, and effective.

Raises blood sugar, but a little slower than I would like. Hard to gauge how much you are actually getting and hard to squeeze.

Didn't expect this product to be that big. Sad thing Is you can only use it once
