Planning for a vacation I realized we wouldn't have room to travel with a stroller and would need some sort of relief from carrying around my son who is 10 months old. I racked my brain over purchasing a body wrap or a wearable harness get up. None of these would be good solutions because at his age he often wants to get down and move around and then be held shortly after. A hip carrier was the best solution, I thought. After searching for them I couldn't bring myself to pay the high dollar prices for some on the market. this one however seemed to ticked all of the boxes. After reading many reviews I purchased this one.Oh! My! Goodness! While on vacation we went to museums, the beach, restaurants, and so much more. This hip carrier was perfect! My son had the flexibility to enjoy reaching out for things and getting down and back up quickly. After a while my arm was tired from supporting his back, but this beats the ache I would have had just holding him without it or using a full on carrier.Since the trip I have used it when my son was sick and wanted to be held constantly. Also, when he just needs some contact time and wants to be on me while I'm cooking dinner. lolThe foam seat is a study block. The material is durable and I imagine would be able to be spot cleaned easily or washed in the washing machine (after removing the foam block). I like the neutral look. No patterns or different textures. Versatile for me or my husband to wear.

This gadget is a plus and a must to carry my granddaughter. I bought this particular one since I only wanted a seat, no additional pockets, storage, bottle holders, straps, or anything else that would add weight to my hips. Her and I are enjoying it!

I have a huge 11 month old (28 lbs) and this definitely helped relieve my arm/back/shoulder, but it was still tough to carry him around for a long time. Made it tougher on my legs, felt like I was wearing ankle weights walking around. Not bad though!

I really wanted one of these for a long time and almost broke down and bought the Tushbaby but couldn’t justify spending $80+ for it. This works perfectly and at a fraction of the cost! I can use it around the house while holding my little one or while out and about. It holds the weight nicely and is well made. Only complaint is that I don’t think it would work for a larger person. I’m a size 8 and I can velcro it around but it does not work for my husband.

Highly recommend!! Takes all the weight off my lower back where it hurts the most from carrying my baby. The color is all around beautiful, quality made and serves it's purpose comfortably for not just me but my child. Read some reviews that it didn't fit petite body but it absolutely does! It goes as small as my thigh! Super supportive of my child and not flimsy at all! My baby is 14 months old and weighing 21 pounds and is really sturdy! She loves it too! Easy to use! Portable! And only a little bulky but it is worth it! You don't even notice the weight of child!

I really wanted to love this. I need something for a wiggly toddler who wants up and down often. Unfortunately, this isn’t going to work for me. It was awkward and bulky to wear, and even worse without a kiddo sitting on it. I’m not sure if it’s this particular design or this carrier style in general. I also wish it had better storage pockets so I wouldn’t need to carry a purse in addition to the carrier.

My not so little guy is now 24 pounds and wants to be held a lot. I used the ergo carrier a lot (and I still love the ergo, just for different things) but he likes to go back and forth from being held to crawling around and then 2 minutes later wants to be held again. This carrier was a life saver for me because I can keep it on my hips whether I’m using it or not and he can go up or down as he pleases without me dealing with all kinds of straps and buckles. Not all of his weight is on my arms anymore so it’s been an arm saver!I guess the only thing that I would recommend is more padding where it sits on the hips. It’s more for heavier babies like mine but with a side carry, the carrier digs in my hips after a while.

Not strong enough for my 1 1/2

I got this because I felt it would be useful but didn't use it right away. Two months after I bought it my baby had a huge growth spurt and carrying her is a real workout now. I use this quite often now. She finds the seat comfortable, the baby carriers that lock the baby in (like backpacks) make her panic for some reason. So she is happy and I find I can multitask and also save my back. This is a game changer.

Mom of four here. I have every kind of baby carrier you can imagine. I purchased this for my 12month old and WOW! I am shocked at how functional and comfortable this carrier is. I carried my little one for 6+ hours at a family gather and my back does not hurt - AT ALL!This is on my list for all future baby shower gifts.

This hip carrier works decently. I just bought it to use around the house and it helps take some weight off. I didn't realize it has this foam insert thing in the front, others I looked at had a metal thing that tilted and locked in position so it kinda sucks I can't use the front to store anything. However that being said the other ones I looked at specifically a certain brand of them was wayyy out of my price range. So for practicality I give it a solid 4 stars. It's under $50 and does what it is supposed to! There is also a smallish pocket on the side which can fit a phone so that also helps.
