Update:I thought I should mention that my baby started sitting up on his own 2 days after we started using the mat. He was 6.5 months old. He's 2 now, so the mat was given to a friend who loved it just as much as we did. It was one of my best Amazon purchases.Original review: My baby hates tummy time and is still not sitting up unassisted, so we got him this mat thinking it may encourage him to use his back and neck muscles in order to watch the toys float in the water. We were right! He loved it the minute he was laid on the mat. Kept his head up the whole time so he could watch the toys. Mat seems durable, was pretty easy to set up, and easy to clean. Does have a strong plastic smell, but it's worth it. We will be using it every day.

We got this yesterday and my 6 month old daughter was instantly obsessed with it!! Her daycare has one so I’ve been contemplating buying one for a while, and I’m so glad I did! She loves batting at the fishies and “talking” to them. I put her in tummy time a bit far away from it and she was the most motivated to crawl that I’ve ever seen so far. I filled the outside with air and the inside with water, and my one concern is that she might be able to pop the air part because her teeth are CRAZY sharp, but it seems pretty darn durable. Like other reviewers I put a little bit of white vinegar in with the water to prevent mold or mildew. Def worth it— I plan on buying more of these as baby shower gifts!!

My toddlers loved this more than the baby.Bought this as a Christmas gift for the baby but it has already broken.The seam that keeps the water ripped so it poured out all over my floor.I still give it 4 stars because it’s a nice toy, easy to set up, but did not last as long as I hoped!

So far my little one is uninterested in the mat. I thought it was a neat idea and my older child likes it. Filling it up wasn't quite as easy as I had expected. There was one more valve that was not listed in the instructions and we assumed it was to let excess air out when filling it up. We will keep it place and maybe she will become more interested as she gets a little older. No leaks.

My baby loves this toy! The packaging was good and compact, and the instructions were easy to follow. I could set it up in 5 mins and let the baby play with it. It is large enough for my 6 month old to sit and play with it. Material seems durable to withstand baby hitting it many times. I think this would make a great gift even for babies who are sitting. Also a great toy for interaction play as the 6 characters are all different.

Even though my baby is 8 months old he still enjoys this tummy time baby mat. He likes to pat on the mat and watch the fishes move around. I would recommend it using this earlier like maybe 6 months old. My baby would sit there for a while and entertain himself looking at the fish moving around. The only thing I didn't like was the outer layer having issues filling up the air. I had no problem with the inner layer. update on 2/23/2020- I reached out to the seller and they send me another one and both tubes are filling up fine. It did take over a month to resolve it but they came through.

Baby likes it and finds it interesting. Originally I had issue with white mold growing in water within few days. I poured a cup to 2 cups of white vinegar and it delayed the growth but didn't kill it. I tried Dawn dish soap and it works. At beginning there will be foam but it will go away. I didn't change water for 2 weeks already and still no mold. Try Dawn.

I purchased the tummy time water play mat and am now outside the amazon return window but within the 45 day money-back timeframe. I just noticed that there are things floating in the water mat that I am unable to remove. The floaters are gross and I’ve tried to drain the water and clean it out but to no avail. I contacted the sellers and am waiting on a response. The mat itself is durable, but the plastic smell never went away and now there are gross floaters inside the mat that I can’t get rid of.
